  • Each end includes an EEPROM providing product identification and characteristics to the host system.
  • The 8-channel dual-port OSFP end uses a Finned Top format for use in Quantum-2 switch cages, while the two 400G ends support 4 channels of 100G-PAM4 (400G) and use a Flat Top OSFP for use in ConnectX-7 adapters with heat sinks on the connector cage.
  • The primary use of the cable is to connect an 800G switch to OSFP based 400G network adapter cards.
  • Featuring low latency, low power consumption and excellent cost/performance, this cable enables 800G to dual 400G breakout connections for server-to-TOR links in AI/ML training clusters, hyperscale cloud data centers and high-performance computing environments.
